Handelshögskolan in Gothenburg

Yellon’s proposal ‘Öppet hus’ (‘Open House’) in Akademiska Hus’ contest by invitation for the new Handelshögskolan (School of Economics) in Gothenburg is an open, transparent and flexible university building that creates new conditions and invites to learning and meetings, both between the university’s different departments and with society at large. The new entrance hall of Handelshögskolan, with an integrated entrance from the station, is to be seen as a meeting place for everyone– and as a natural extension of the city’s streets, squares and green parts.
